FIXES: - Fixes intermittent issue where a "blue screen" error is generated when the computer hard drive initiates power management, also known as Device Initiated Power Management (DIPM), on the SATA hard drive while the computer is entering Standby (S3) mode. Download the SoftPaq .EXE file to a directory on your hard drive. 2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. After executing the file, the download directory (default location is C:\SWSetup\SP33902) or specified location contains the a folder called FILES. The FILES folder contains the files that are needed to upgrade the Samsung hard drive by creating bootable media. To create bootable media and upgrade the firmware, complete the following steps: 1. Copy all the files contained in the FILES folder to your bootable device (for example, Disk-On-Key device). 2. Restart the desktop to a DOS prompt. 3. From the DOS prompt run the following command to start the upgrade process: UPDATE.BAT NOTE: If your desktop does not have a Samsung hard drive listed in the "Prerequisites" section or a Samsung hard drive that is installed in the desktop, the firmware upgrade will NOT be performed.
